Meet Brie Casey

Anchor Family Advocacy Founder & Lead Advocate

Multiple blue waves representing water.

After years of navigating the education system as both an educator and a parent of neurodiverse children, Brie Casey founded Anchor Family Advocacy on a simple belief: every child deserves an advocate and every family deserves a steady guide.

With over 17 years in general and special education, she understands how overwhelming schools can feel when they don’t meet a child’s needs and is dedicated to ensuring no family faces that alone. Her expertise includes IEP development, behavioral interventions, and collaborative advocacy with schools. She has also held nonprofit leadership roles and completed specialized training through COPAA and the Parent Consultant Training Institute (PCTI) through the Federation of Children with Special Needs.

Brie is also a Doctoral Student in Transformative School Leadership at Northeastern University, where she is working on her dissertation, “Building Bridges: Empowering Parents of Autistic Children to Advocate for Inclusion in Public Schools,” which explores how schools and families can work together to create more inclusive learning environments.

What sets Brie apart is her ability to combine deep professional expertise with genuine compassion.

Her approach is collaborative rather than adversarial, focused on building strong partnerships between families and schools. By equipping parents with clear strategies, knowledge, and confidence, she helps them advocate effectively and ensure their child can thrive.

Families trust Brie because she listens closely, understands their struggles, and transforms overwhelming challenges into manageable, actionable steps. Her goal is simple yet powerful: to give every child the opportunity to reach their full potential.
